Training Catalog Approver - How to manage a training submitted for approval?

Modified on Tue, 25 Feb at 2:10 PM

As part of training catalog management, the role of an approver is crucial in ensuring the quality and relevance of the proposed training programs. When a new training program is submitted for approval, it is important to follow a structured process to ensure it meets the organization's standards and learners' needs. Here are the detailed steps for effectively managing a training program awaiting approval.

Access the list of training programs awaiting approbation

As an approver, go to the Catalog Management tab in the Trainings module and use the available filters to sort training programs, particularly by the Submitted for approbation status. This allows you to quickly identify training programs requiring your attention and prioritize submissions based on deadlines.

Review the training details

Click on the pencil icon to open the training details and verify that the following elements meet your organization's standards and identified needs:

  • Training title and description;
  • Training theme;
  • Trainer's name;
  • Training date and duration;
  • Number of available spots;
  • Targeted job categories;
  • Targeted establishments;
  • Targeted employees.

It is essential to check:

  • The relevance of the content;
  • Its alignment with identified needs;
  • The absence of errors or incomplete information.

If any information is missing or requires clarification, contact the training creator directly or make the necessary modifications according to your internal procedures.

Approve the training

Once the review is complete and the training meets the required standards, you can click the Approve training button. If needed, you may make modifications before approving; these changes will be automatically saved along with your approval.

If you prefer, you can make modifications without approving immediately. To do so, click Submit for validation. This will keep the training in Submitted for approbation status, allowing you to review it again before finalizing approval. You can also change the approver during this process.
