Employee - How to manage the supporting document?

Modified on Tue, 25 Feb at 8:39 AM

Some absence justifications require a supporting document to be complete. Here is how to handle this requirement if you do not yet have the supporting document at the time of submitting your request.

What happens if you do not attach an supporting document when declaring your absence?

If an  supporting document is mandatory but you do not have it yet, the initial status will be Pending. As soon as your manager approves your absence, the status of your request will change to Incomplete. You will be able to attach the document later. Once it is submitted, the status of your request will change back to Pending, meaning it is now awaiting approval for the supporting document only.

Adding an supporting document to an already submitted absence request

When you are ready to attach the supporting document

  1. Go to the Absences module and locate your absence request. Click the pencil icon to open the details;
  2. Click the Select button to attach your document. You can add as many documents as needed;
  3. Once the file is attached, you will see that the  supporting document has been successfully added. If you make a mistake, you can delete it by clicking the trash can icon;
  4. Click Submit at the top of the page to finalize the addition.

Once the supporting document is added, the status of your request will return to Pending. Your manager will then be able to review the document and finalize the handling of your request. A paperclip icon will appear to indicate that an supporting document is attached to your request.
