In the Home module, in addition to having an overview of your schedule,
other options are available to you.
First, you can add a personal event to leave yourself a note or block off your schedule for that event.
For more information, refer to this article: Substitute - How do I make myself available and unavailable?
You can also sync your Scolago schedule to your personal calendar. This way, all the events you see in your Home module will be exported to the external calendar of your choice. It’s important to note that the synchronization is one-way only: from Scolago → Personal Calendar.
Watch this video for step-by-step instructions: Video - Calendar Synchronization.
Finally, you can view your schedule in monthly, weekly, or daily format using the three buttons below.
On the right side of the Home module page, each Scolago user sees a summary of what's happening in their account and/or organization via the dashboard. Users won’t all see the same information on the dashboard, as it depends on their role on the platform (substitute, dispatcher, manager, etc.).
Here are explanations of what a user sees on their dashboard based on their role.
Substitute |
On their dashboard, substitutes can see how many replacement requests are in “queued,” “pending,” “pre-accepted,” “accepted,” “refused,” and “canceled by the Substitute” statuses on their calendar from today onward, indefinitely.
Under the following link, you’ll find an explanatory video for the Home module in the substitute role, covering all the different statuses displayed on the dashboard: Video - How to Use the Home Module.
Additionally, note that if, for example, 4 periods are part of the SAME replacement (meaning that when the substitute accepts the replacement, all periods of that replacement are accepted by them), the number displayed on the dashboard will be “1” in the corresponding status, rather than “4.”
Employee |
Employees with roles such as Authorized Absence, Training Administrator, Development Administrator, or Development and Training Administrator can see on their dashboard how many of their own absences are pending approval from a manager, starting from today and extending indefinitely.
Support staff employee |
Employees with the roles of Authorized Dispatcher + Absence, Authorized Secretary + Absence, or Authorized Research + Absences can see on their dashboard how many of their own absences are pending approval from a manager, starting from today and extending indefinitely.
They can also see how many replacements are in the statuses of "new request," "pending," "accepted," "refused," and "canceled by the substitute" across all their organizations from today onward, indefinitely. Note that if the automatic schedule is used, each period becomes a replacement in itself.
For example: A secretary with the role of Authorized Secretary + Absence in 3 establishments on Scolago would see cumulative information displayed on their dashboard from all 3 establishments.
Employees with one of these roles will also have a summary of upcoming replacement offers integrated into their calendar. This allows them to see at a glance if an emergency situation is approaching.
Management employee |
Employees with the role of Authorized Read + Absence (Establishment Manager) can see on their dashboard how many absences of their staff they need to approve, starting from today and extending indefinitely. They only approve the absences for which they have been designated as the approving manager.
They can also see how many of their own absences are pending approval from a manager, starting from today and extending indefinitely.
Additionally, they can view how many replacements are in the statuses of "new request," "pending," "accepted," "refused," and "canceled by the substitute" across all their organizations from today onward, indefinitely. Note that if the automatic schedule is used, each period becomes a replacement in itself.
For example: A manager with the role of Authorized Read + Absence (Establishment Manager) in 3 establishments on Scolago would see cumulative information displayed on their dashboard from all 3 establishments.
Employees with one of these roles will also have a summary of upcoming replacement offers integrated into their calendar. This allows them to see at a glance if an emergency situation is approaching.
