A template is a "container" that brings together the performance evaluation grid associated with a job category, along with the list of all employees subject to this performance evaluation.
As the Development administrator, you can manage the templates through the Template management tab.
For those already existing, two icons are displayed:
By clicking on the pencil icon, you can edit, view, and associate employees with this template;
By clicking on the trash can icon, you can delete a template.
Follow the steps below to create a new template:
Still on the Template management tab of the Development module, click the New Template button.
A form will appear on the screen to configure the template. Fill in all the fields in the General section:
- Organization: This field will be pre-filled by default. Modify the selection if needed;
- Job group: Select the job category or categories for which this template is intended;
- Title: Assign a descriptive and explicit title to the template;
- Attachments: Upload the performance appraisal grid you wish to make available to employees and managers for the performance appraisal process.
When you are finished, save your work at the bottom or top of the page.
After saving, a new section named Employees targeted for appraisal will appear.
Click on the Add employees button; a page will open. Using the drop-down menu, select the name(s) of the employee(s) targeted for this appraisal. If needed, add the mid-period appraisal date and, obligatorily, add the period end date.
If you need to add more employees, click the Add Employees button again. Note that employees can have different appraisal dates within the same template.
If needed, modify or delete a targeted employee using the pencil and trash can icons. Don't forget to save any changes.
Once your template is complete, click Save in the top left corner or the floppy disk icon in the bottom right. Employees and their managers can then begin using it.
