All - How does the secure login (SSO) work?

Modified on Mon, 6 Oct at 4:02 PM

Secure login via SSO (Single Sign-On) allows users to access the Scolago platform using their usual credentials, without having to create or remember a separate password.

It is an authentication method that allows users to sign in to multiple systems or applications using a single set of credentials (usually your professional email address) and a password managed by your organization.

The SSO login has many advantages:

  • Enhanced security;
  • Fewer passwords to remember;
  • Fast and consistent login across your organization’s tools.

How does it work?

If you want to create your account from an external account, access an account created by your organization using your professional email address, or link your existing Scolago account to the secure connection of your choice, follow these steps:

Access the Scolago login page and click on the necessary secure connection (in case your organization has already created your account), or select the one of your choice

Enter your email address and your password of your external account, depending on the choice made at first;

Confirm your identity according to the requirements of Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, or LinkedIn

A last page will ask you if you already have an account. Choose the right option between linking an existing account or create one.

You will be automatically redirected to Scolago and signed in to your account.

If you have created an account, consult these articles to complete the procedure according to your role:

Microsoft connection issues

It's possible that another account appears automatically when you try to connect to your Scolago account using your SSO connection.

If this is the case, you will first need to log out of the account that appears.

To do this, click on the following link to log out of the account in question: Microsoft Logout.

You will then be able to log in from the correct account on all your devices.

For even more security, you can configure two-factor authentication, which involves entering a unique code with each login using an authentication app. For more details, consult the following article: All - How does two-factor authentication work?.
